I offer coaching for a broad range of situations, specifically in the areas of professional development, and returning to work after illness
or raising your family.

Through listening and questioning, I will explore your beliefs in a way that will open your mind and question what’s important to you, what direction you are seeking and the steps to take your dreams to reality.

Together, we will create goals that are aligned with your values and your passions.

It’s not always going to be easy or a quick fix.  You may need to change life-long habits and patterns and to do this you will address the underlying causes and confront the thoughts, beliefs and behaviours that have been holding you back.  The changes you’ll experience, be they big or small, will lead you towards a happier, healthier, more authentic you.

Professional development

My coaching style is one of working with you to develop an understanding of your strengths and style.  We'll discuss issues that are affecting you, what has been successful in the past, and the best ways to be more confident and effective in the future.

Self-awareness is so important - sound knowledge and judgment about ourselves contributes to our success in work and life. Sometimes people are unable to articulate their feelings, motives, and needs, and can be unaware of their responses to a situation or the impact of their behaviours on others.

When considering the opportunity to engage with a personal coach think about what it is you wish to gain from your coaching sessions. In some cases I might need to meet with your employer to get an understanding of their expectations and requirements to tailor the coaching sessions to achieve results for both parties.

Through coaching I will assist you to gain a greater understanding of yourself, including your values, strengths, drivers behind behaviours and what is blocking your success and fulfilment.

Return to work

Returning to work after a period of time away can be daunting.  The transition back to the workforce can be a challenge for you, your family and the organisation you wish to join.  With the right strategy, tools and support a smooth transition back into the workforce can be achieved.

It is not uncommon to feel a loss of confidence as a result of being away for a period of time.  You may have feelings of being out of touch or behind in skill level, or even questioning whether your skills are still relevant.  You may even question if your work interests are what they used to be.

If you have been out of the workforce for several years the thought of returning may raise concerns and questions such as the timing, what type of work, hours to work, how to juggle family and work, and the impact on your family.

You’ll be surprised how assessing your situation and creating a plan will begin to remove barriers and put you on the path to returning to work more confidently.  A clear plan will help regain your confidence and to be able to make practical steps forward.

Life after illness

Moving forward with life following the completion of treatment or a serious illness is scary!  I know first-hand the loneliness and disconnection possible from 'the world' following cancer treatment.

Health professionals, family, friends and support people gradually withdraw as you return to better health.  Life after your illness might look quite different than it did before.  You may feel like you need to review and reprioritise areas of your life as a result of this life changing event.

It’s important to check back in with your values, purpose and passions, which no doubt will have been challenged during this time.  I’ll listen to your concerns and work alongside you in setting yourself new goals and exploring new opportunities in a world of hope - with a focus on what is possible, not what is broken.

You may well have some concerns about returning to work or maybe you're considering a whole new direction.

Whatever your situation, I can help you to develop a plan and regain your confidence so you can get back out into the world with passion!
